We
feel it is your right and responsibility to
become actively involved with identifying
and understanding your oral health problems.
Your
initial visit will include the following steps:
• A complete medical history as
it relates to your dental care.
• Examination of your teeth,
gums and other soft tissues of your mouth.
• X-rays,
if needed, to see between your teeth, their
roots and the supporting bone.
• Use of
the intraoral camera to allow you to see, close
up, the condition of your teeth and gums.
After
reviewing your x-rays and the information gathered
from your clinical dental examination, the
doctor will then discuss his/her findings with
you and explain your treatment options. We
encourage you to ask any questions you may
have regarding your proposed treatment. If
a dental prophylaxis (cleaning appointment)
has been scheduled for your initial visit,
it will be done at this time. If not, and a
dental prophylaxis has been recommended by
the doctor, one will be scheduled for you at
a time convenient to you. |
