Your First Visit
Our team enjoys welcoming new patients to Dental Health Partners! We believe that great first impressions are important because they set the tone for all your future visits. We want you to know how honored we are that you chose us and how much we value you as a patient and member of our extended dental family.
Your First Visit to Dental Health Partners
We feel it is your right and responsibility to become actively involved with identifying and understanding your oral health problems.
Your initial visit will include the following steps:
- A complete medical history as it relates to your dental care.
- An examination of your teeth, gums and other soft tissues of your mouth.
- X-rays, if needed, to see between your teeth, their roots and the supporting bone.
- Use of the intraoral camera to allow you to see, close up, the condition of your teeth and gums.
After reviewing your x-rays and the information gathered from your clinical dental examination, the doctor will then discuss his/her findings with you and explain your treatment options.
We Welcome Your Questions
We encourage you to ask any questions you may have regarding your proposed treatment. If dental prophylaxis (cleaning appointment) has been scheduled for your initial visit, it will be done at this time. If not, and dental prophylaxis has been recommended by the doctor, one will be scheduled for you at a time convenient to you.
Before you leave our office, our Patient Services Specialist will review your treatment plan with you. She will help schedule future appointments and explain your financing options and how your dental insurance applies to your treatment.
